Recent work

From our own job sites

Photographs of work we have actually done, put up with the customer's agreement. Nothing here is stock, and nothing here is somebody else's house. There are only a handful so far because we would rather show you four real rooms than fill a page with pictures we did not take.

A recent interior project: the entry, the great room and the stairwell, photographed after the work was finished.

  • Double-height entry hall painted in a soft white, with an iron-railed landing above and a tiled floor medallion below.

  • Curved stairwell with a dark iron railing against freshly painted white walls, with the window wall behind.

    Stairwell

The curved stair and its ironwork.

  • Great room with a two-storey window wall, white painted walls and a domed ceiling with a chandelier.

How to read this page

A finished room photographs well either way

This is worth saying on our own gallery: a painted wall looks much the same on handover day whether or not the work underneath it was done properly. The difference turns up in year two. So here is what a photograph can and cannot tell you.

Why we do not pair these with before shots

A before taken in flat shade and an after taken in better light is a photograph of the weather rather than of the work, and if the camera moves between the two you are being shown a different room. An honest pair needs the same angle, framing and lighting in both frames. Until we have pairs that meet that standard, single finished frames are the straighter thing to publish.

What to look at in anyone's gallery

Edges and transitions. Where wall meets ceiling, where trim meets wall, around switch plates and window frames. That is where preparation shows and where a rushed job gives itself away. A wide shot of a finished room tells you about the colour, not the workmanship.

Why preparation never photographs

The work that decides whether a finish lasts, washing, filling, priming, replacing failed caulk, is invisible the moment the topcoat goes on. Two walls photographed on handover day look identical whether or not any of it happened. That is why we publish the specification rather than relying on pictures.

In the meantime

The service pages go through what each job actually involves step by step, the reviews come live from our Google profile rather than being quoted here, and the colour consultation puts real samples on your own wall before anything is committed.
